As has been said elsewhere this in more than just Trump. He was democratically elected using $1.1 Billion donations - he is not acting alone, they knew before they voted and donated. (For balance Harris raised £1.6 billion).
The issue as I see it is that US is loosing its dominance and can see the threat of China - breaking of rules and openly aggressive behaviour eg tariffs and deportations are a necessary route to speedy delivery of Project 2025 and thereby MAGA - Make America Great Again - time is short midterms next year with a possible change in Congress to a more Democratic party lean..
I hear on the morning news that as Putin was leaving the Chinese soirée that he wants to speak with Zelensky - two thoughts crossed my mind, has Xi had a word in his ear, that there are bigger fish to fry so get with Xi's policy if you want to benefit; and of course, it is a means of blocking Trump from the Nobel Peace Prize, if peace is achieved without Trump.
Excellent work, thank you so much. If this is what he has done in a few months the future is of great concern. Will anyone be able to fight back as the US sinks into an authoritarian state lead by a dictator? Are US allies even prepared for this or even making plans to combat the insanity of it all??!!

Looks like the greater the deemed likelihood of Trump fizzling and burning the greater the urgency to put this stuff into practice. On one hand libertarian lunacy, on the other Christian Nationalist tripe. And, and, a J D Vance rest-of-term presidency would be more of both, but probably without the random vendettas.
