In reverse order ' where next ' . I see the ultimate destination as a Trump dynasty, similar to the Bush or Kennedy dynasties. This could be achieved by either amending the Constitution to remove the two term restriction or having a family member stand for election in 2028. I note that the family members are conspicuous by their absence thereby keeping them politically 'clean' for the 2028 election.
Money is too prevalent in US politics main stream media are stating that it cost $1 billion to get Trump elected, including $66 million of his own money. Is the bitcoin venture intended to be the source of the Trump family election campaign contributions to 2028?
'how did we get here' He is delivering on his campaign promises. He has a 38% approval rating, that is low by any Presidential standards but still amounts to 133 million US citizens supporting him, probably sufficient to get him or his candidate a fighting chance of re-election.
What we are seeing is Steve Bannon's ' flood the zone strategy' from the first Trump term, now enacted by Miller, Trump's deputy chief of staff. It will continue until we get pushback from the Democrats and the Courts.
On a more positive note, RFKjr does appear to be cleaning up the grubby health industry; of course pharma funds Democrats not Republicans which is why pharma is fair game for Trump and a vote winner. In my mind pharma political funding raises a number of questions eg why did Fauci need to get a pre-emptive pardon from Biden - unprecedented! And how much was Covid politically driven by US for pharma's benefit?
