One bad omen exists in the way corporate/ideological/religious fervor buried science, medicine and evidence based practice for COVID-19 mitigation, complicated pregnancies and gender dysphoria with evidence free exhortations, laws, and hostility. There was meager to no effective push back.
Some changes in society and human ways of acting make me think that maybe we have started a process of “devolution”. Thank god this doesn’t seem to be in all the areas of human behaviour. Thank you so much for your time and dedication to defend the scientific method, THE BEST until we prove there is another better....

Spot on. I fail to understand what drives these people to debunk scientific fact. By all means challenge, but this is another level.
To gain control of power and subsequently money.
To inflate thier egos.
